Another Nursery Rhyme Verse in the New Year

Munchkin’s gotten really good at reciting various nursery rhymes, including the 2nd and 3rd verses of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” Since I don’t know the 4th and 5th verses well myself, I haven’t taught her those yet. K made the point that Munchkin was teaching him all these verses, since he only knows the first one.

She was in “more?” mode the other day when we were singing “Baa Baa Black Sheep,” and I came up with this, just in time for the really cold snap coming our way:

Baa baa brown sheep, where did you go?

Way up north to find me some snow.

It was really cold when I got there,

So I kept my wool and decided not to share.

Inspired, right? Perhaps the message of not sharing isn’t a good one to teach the Munchkin, but we’ll cross that bridge when we must.

Pictured: some sheep and glittery snowflakes from Munchkin’s beloved felt board.

Meanwhile, I got all the old posts back up on the website.  Unfortunately, comments for 2014 are gone forever, and I’m sorry to everyone who took the time to comment.

I’m plotting away at Book 2.  The subplots are all worked out, and I’m just finessing the main story line right now.  I hope to start writing next week.
